What’s this then?
Working at a client they needed as simple a user experience as possible and asked if they could get O365 single click sign on like this explains.
Great idea I thought but where will the email address come from that can be populated automatically and at first logon before Outlook or any Office apps are launched?
Jamf connect to the rescue
Rummaging around I realised that Jamf Connect Logon, which was being used here to logon to Azure, has a setting that will populate the user name into the Jamf connect Verify plist. This is true even if you aren’t using Verify.
The settings is LastUser, which if you use Verify allows the auto signin. As the O365 Email and username are the same thing this fits the bill for a data source.
